This is the homepage of the Forschungsgemeinschaft Alternative Raumfahrt (FAR) (i.e. Research Community for Alternative Space Flight).
Our goal is the advancement of civil space flight. In this context the word alternative means developping secure, environmentally sound and last but not least more cost-efficient means of transportation into space than those that have been used so far by the established space agencies.
